PhD Candidate at the section of Applied Geophysics and Petrophysics and the section of Aircraft Noise and Climate Effects at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands. Part of my research time I spend with the R&D Seismology and Acoustics group. I have completed my bachelor's degree in Physics at Leiden University and my master's degree in Applied Physics at TU Delft. My PhD project is focused on studying the deep ocean temperature by using low-frequency sound waves. The propagation of these sound waves is temperature dependent and can therefore be used for temperature monitoring. For this, I am interested in both interferometric techniques and acoustic propagation modeling (normal mode).
