UV-radiation levels at the ground can be strongly influenced by ozone and climate change. Over one million solar UV-spectra from the European database for Ultraviolet radiation have been used in an analysis of biologically relevant UV-doses received at the ground in Europe. In total 31000 daily doses which covered 115 data-years were constructed. For seventeen stations multiple years of data were retreived. Following a strict data-analysis protocol all spectra were checked/corrected for errors using the SHICrivm spectral data-analysis package thus allowing optimal comparability among various sites.
