Multi-sensor synergeric algorithm development for the Earth Clouds and Radaition Explorer mission.
The main objective of this activity was the development of synergetic (lidar+radar+imager) and radar only EarthCARE L2 data products and algorithms . In particular, the activity seeks to develop data products and algorithms for the following products:
Merged Observations Product, Synergetic target classification product, definition of the Joint standard Grid, Cloud and Precipitation Best Estimate Product and CPR-only products.
Varsy ran from Feb. 2012 to Sept 2013 and involved McGill University, The Univ. of Reading, KNMI, LATMOS and the Univ. of Leicester.
