Advisory Board report: towards the KNMI ’13 scenarios

The members of the Advisory Board for the next generation KNMI climate scenarios met in De Bilt, the Netherlands on 5 and 6 June 2012. These external experts have been asked by KNMI to provide independent feedback on the different aspects of the project that leads to the next generation KNMI climate scenarios for the Netherlands (called the KNMI’13 scenarios). The discussion was structured on the basis of presentations and a panel discussion.

A scoping document prepared for the meeting was distributed beforehand. This document describes the roadmap towards the KNMI’13 scenarios. The scoping document contains several pending questions for which KNMI sought advice from the Advisory Board members in particular. Discussion of these questions has led to the following comments and recommendations for the project.
